Google Lets Slovenia’s Licensed Gambling Operators Advertise

From 1 October 2026, Google will allow advertising for online casinos, lotteries and sports betting in Slovenia.

That is true for operators who hold a valid government licence and are registered with the Ministry of Finance only.

This policy change means that advertisers must apply for certification. From 26 August, Google will also require a separate advertising account for each certification type, prohibiting mixed portfolios in a single dashboard.

Slovenia’s concession registry currently lists only a few eligible operators. Casino Portorož is the only online casino operator, running 777Casino.si, Casino.si and SuperCasino.si, with the latter being launched in January with 15 slots. Loterija Slovenije and Športna Loterija hold licences for lotteries and sports betting respectively. Notably, HIT, the country’s largest gambling group with six land-based casinos, has no online concession.

After October 1, Google’s Slovenian gambling advertisers will effectively be limited to the three Casino Portorož sites and the two lottery operators. Offshore brands lacking a Slovenian concession will not qualify.

Advertised sites must display age restrictions and licence details. Google will update its gambling policy page when the changes take effect.
